Our General English course is designed to enhance your overall English language skills, focusing on Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. Whether you’re aiming to improve daily communication, prepare for tertiary education in New Zealand, or get ready for an English language test, this course is tailored to meet your needs.

Course Structure

The course comprises five levels:

  1. Elementary
  2. Pre-Intermediate
  3. Intermediate
  4. Upper-Intermediate
  5. Advanced

Each level is structured over 12 weeks, with the expectation that students will progress to the next level upon successful completion. The curriculum emphasises the four macro skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing), integrating practical activities to enhance effective communication. Higher levels focus on advanced reading and writing skills, preparing students for further study or professional opportunities.

Assessment and Progression

The course comprises five levels:

  5. Advanced

Assessments are conducted at scheduled intervals. Students must achieve at least 80% proficiency across the four macro skills to advance to the next level. At the intermediate level, students have the option to take the IELTS exam if desired.
